We understand the effectiveness of the Promotional Guide System and know what makes it successful in practice.
The system originates from research undertaken in the European Early Promotion Project and the Oxfordshire Home Visiting Study.
Research evidence shows that practitioners using the Guide system are better at identifying family needs and parents are happier with the antenatal/postnatal care they receive. Family outcomes include improved parent–infant/child relationships and a baby-friendly home environment.
